About the Author

I’m Maria Bennetti — a former business owner and longtime hospitality professional who spent decades creating elevated experiences and quietly watching people chase manufactured joy, usually to impress others. I realized we, as a whole, tend to look for happiness from the outside in. We seek approval and highlight accomplishments to make us feel fulfilled, or at least to make it seem that way. That kind of happiness never truly lasts. Deep down, we know it.

I decided that I wanted out of this and started to search for true joy by returning to the things I loved before life got complicated. A time when I wasn’t looking for external validation or chasing perfection. It turned out, reconnecting with the things I loved as a child changed how I experience stress, work, relationships, and everyday life as an adult.

I wrote Now and Ten to share what I learned with others just like you. This book isn’t just a theory; it’s lived, tested, and intentionally simple. You don’t have to blow up your life or retreat from it to achieve happiness. You can learned how to move through your days differently; incorporating real joy that actually sticks. Once you start, it comes pretty naturally.
